Home Automation

In partnership with Meg Consulting of Arizona, we were able to please one customer who required some home automation: An iPad monitored humidor that controlled lights in his home.

This simple (super) cigar box is powered by an ioBridge Board with X-10 controller, temperature and humidity modules.

The home automation was accomplished using the industry standard X10 technology. A simple X10 module in the ioBridge board combined with a few X10 outlets and switches enabled us to control everything from lights to a fountain and mister system: All from an iPhone or iPad!

These units work great for controlling Christmas lighting, entry lights, fans, etc from a simple and easy to use iPad or Android app.

The temperature and humidity modules were an extra add-on to remotely monitor the health of his favorite Perdomo cigars. In fact, some alarms where programmed which posted a message to his Twitter account and sent an email once the temperature and humidity values went beyond those for healthy living cigars.
